We will have great weekly lectures, discussion topics, class activities, and semester projects. I am sensitive to the fact that some aspects of health class are best left for parents to discuss with their student(s) at home. Hopefully, the material discussed in class will spark wonderful family conversations as well! The course will have at least one guest presentation from a health professional.
This class is currently applying for a-g approval as an elective for one semester. It should be determined before classes begin in August. Health education is a high school graduation requirement in several districts in California. All state standards will be met in this course.Â
Class meets weekly for 1.5 hours and will include lecture, video, discussion and weekly activities or labs. Weekly homework assignments from the textbook and lab paperwork will be completed by students at home. Tests will be taken online at home and will be administered by a parent/guardian.Â
